We’ve been talking non-stop about blushes, and frankly, we won’t ever stop – because we love blush too much! The pink just blooms beautifully on our cheeks, creating the perfect flush to start off our day.

When it comes to blushes, however, there’s not much that goes on with it, unlike other makeup products. It’s just a blush which we apply on the apples of our cheeks – that’s it. Granted, there are newer and innovative shades that have graced the blush aisles – like the purple blush and the recent craze, orange blush.

But we need more, you know?

So, after using one blush all these years, the makeup community has had enough and pumped up the flushness by adding two different shades on them cheeks! It’s totally crazy, but totally works – and this new technique is called Ombré Blush.

Of course, the origin of this new blush trend comes from TikTok (thank you TikTok!) and we are all on board. Plus, with the necessity of wearing masks constantly, we are done with restraining ourselves over how much makeup product we should put on our faces – so ombré blush it is!

“How do you even apply it”, you ask? It’s so super simple that it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to nail it, and this beauty content creator demonstrates perfectly how to do the ombré blush technique.

Leila Nikea illustrates this unique blush look by incorporating a bright purple blush on the apples of her cheeks and a more mauve pink blush on her cheekbones, creating the most intricate multi-tone that ties the whole look together.

Now folks, just because it’s called ombré doesn’t mean that there should be a stark difference between the two colours after blending them with a brush. By using two differing blush shades, you will produce a unique colour combo, while adding some depth to your cheeks.

If you need further convincing, check out Bex Campbell’s video on how she did this trend:
