Makeup is a fun adventure which enhances your skills and allows you to discover exciting trends. Makeup wearers not only want their makeup to last longer, they want the application process to be as short as possible, because some of us don’t have all the time in the world to sit and do our makeup.

This is where makeup hacks come in handy. Sharing makeup hacks has been an ongoing trend, with a variety of tips and tricks on easy and smooth makeup application going viral. They are a tremendous help for when you want to begin wearing makeup.

But, at some point, some makeup hacks get so bizarre that even the makeup community is distraught by them. It usually involves sharp objects and unconventional… methods. Granted, most of these makeup hacks are just for clickbait purposes. But, my question is – what possessed these people to even think of these hacks from the get-go?

Let’s scroll through some of the weirdest makeup hacks that shouldn’t have even been an actual thought in the first place.

Fork Nose Contour

I understand contouring is really hard – but do we have to resort to using a fork to get that straight line down our noses? Do we forget that forks are used for eating or are we just going to disregard that? I find using a fork to be extremely dangerous, especially if it’s used on your face.

Knife Liner

Speaking of dangerous – knife liner. Just, why? It’s the easiest way to stab your eyes out, just for the sake of wanting to create the sharp (pun intended) winged eyeliner? Please reserved the knife for cooking. Basically, all cooking utensils should be in the kitchen and never out of it and used for beauty tools, thank you.

Condom Sponge

Utterly speechless! There are no words to describe how this makeup hack is just all kinds of gross. Using a condom to blend your foundation? YUCK! Look – I understand that some of us (including me) are too lazy to wash our makeup sponges. But, there’s NO WAY I’m going to put my makeup sponge in a condom and blend my foundation in it – NOPE!

Tweezers On Eyebrows

When you think of tweezers, you think of plucking the hairs from your eyebrows. But, this makeup hack said “Nope, let’s carve out our eyebrows using the sharp ends of the tweezers”. Are we all alright? Why do we need to use something that could potentially injure us to do makeup? Put down the tweezers and watch an eyebrow tutorial. OR just fill in the sparse area of your eyebrows with and eyebrow pencil and you’re done.

Vaseline For Shimmery Eyeshadow

Pinterest: Niiii

We all heard that petroleum jelly is ‘THE’ product that can do almost anything. But, the one thing that it cannot do is make shimmery shadows stick to your eyes. I mean, think about it – it’s oil, so, logically, it wouldn’t make the shimmer shadows pop. Plus, it just slides everywhere and makes your eyeshadow super patchy.
