Set your alarm then

If there’s one thing that I wish I could understand – besides why Charles cheated on Diana – is how the heck do some people manage to get up and work out as early as 5am and go on about their day, acting like nothing strenuous happened? I once saw this Pakcik jogging around the famous Taman Tasik Titiwangsa before the sun even began to rise. How?? I, on the other hand, had to struggle to not hit the snooze button more than three times. Anyway, forget those early riser peeps, because according to most health gurus, the perfect time for you to activate your sweat sesh is between 6pm and 6.30pm.

According to health experts from the University of Southern Mississippi, those who trained at 6pm gained more muscle mass than those who trained in the morning. The theory actually aligns with biology, as the body’s metabolism tends to naturally slow down as the day goes on, but evening exercise helps rev it up again, thereby allowing you to burn more calories over the entire day.

They also explained that physical activities in the evening can act as effective ways to combat stress and improve sleep, both of which are crucial elements when it comes to long-term, sustainable weight loss. So basically, once the sweat has been squeezed out of your system, it’ll be pretty easy for you to snooze at night. Take note people who have insomnia, this could be your cue to start working out at 6pm!

Physical activities in the evening can act as effective ways to combat stress and improve sleep, both of which are crucial elements when it comes to long term, sustainable weight loss.

Not only that, I found a study published in the Journal of Current Biology suggesting that evening exercisers tend to have better performance during their workout, and endurance training in the evening may lead to larger gains in muscle mass.
