Before we start, I would like to issue a disclaimer – this article might contain spoilers from the previous season. So if you’re the type of fan who hates spoilers from the internet, we suggest you not scroll further.
But if you don’t mind a little ‘’heads up’’, like me, you’re very much welcome here. So, are you ready?
Netflix just gave us some clues about the upcoming Stranger Things Season 4, and we’re shooketh.
On September 25th, Netflix hosted their TUDUM event – um, yeah, it was named after their iconic logo’s accompanying sound effect. How creative is that?! At the event, they decided to release a series of sneak peeks from their original shows, one of which was the iconic Stranger Things. It was then confirmed that the new season will premiere in early 2022 – and this was followed by the release of a new clip titled, ‘Creel House’. Here’s when things get intense: In the short clip, a family of four arrives at what seems to be their new home. The family looks fine, happy, in fact. That’s until the two children are seen lying unconscious on the floor, as their father stands over them. Switching back to the present day, the fan-fav Hawkins gang opts to check out the now-abandoned haunted house, before a ticking clock breaks before their eyes.

Whew! What a cliffhanger. But to be honest, there is not much of an outline of what will happen in the show’s latest season. Because (spoilers!), following the season three finale, we’re well aware that Hopper has survived his presumed death and has seemingly ended up in a Soviet camp in Kamchatka, Russia. Though back home, Eleven remains powerless and Mike is presumably forced to go head-to-head with a rising demonic presence that they thought was long gone.
However, one can assume that perhaps Hopper’s return could serve as the show’s main storyline, with the sub-plot being Eleven’s hopeful escape from the establishment she seems to have returned to. As for the rest of the gang, one can assume that the group will reunite in the hope of saving both Eleven and Hopper, but until we know for sure, this is merely speculation.
Despite this, executive producer, Shawn Levy, recently assured fans that the extended hiatus will be well-and-truly worth the wait. “I’ll just say that we are long-delayed, and the Duffers and I want to share season four with the world as badly as the world wants it,” Shawn gave his short statement to The Hollywood Reporter. Ughh, can you guys hurry the ef’ up? In the meantime, if you want your heart to start practicing beating wildly, we suggest you binge watch the first three seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix here. You’re welcome 🙂
