As we all waited in anticipation for Taco Bell to touch down in Malaysia, it has finally officially launched its store in town!
Taco Bell’s official launch in Malaysia was held virtually today with the opening of their first store in Cyberjaya by franchise holder Disruptive Concepts Sdn Bhd.
Many questions were aroused as to why the store’s first location is in Cyberjaya. As per the squads, they chose the location cause Cyberjaya is seen as a prime spot with improving accessibility thanks to four major expressways: LDP, SKVE, MEX, and Elite, making travel more seamless for customers from various areas.
Malaysians had their eyes mostly centered on their food, waiting to devour their tantalising mouth-watering flavors!
Y’all could expect to see their signature specials such as the 2 Taco Supreme, Kickin’ Chicken Tacos, Crunchwrap Supreme, Filled Nachos, and more on the menu. Vegetarians may substitute black beans for meat in most dishes on the menu. The Bell Rice Bowl, a dish exclusive to Taco Bell Malaysia with flavors tailored to the local palate, will also be available. Customers should definitely try their new Taco Bell Sparklers in two flavors for something different!
Pertaining to the ongoing pandemic, the store will be operating under strict SOP measures! The standard entry SOPs of wearing a mask, temperature checks, MySejahtera registrations, and hand sanitizing will be present, as expected. Every 30 minutes, touchpoints such as door handles, tables, and even chairs will be sanitized. Customers are allowed to use e-wallets, credit, or debit cards to make their purchases.
Cash will be allowed, but transactions will be done by putting money on a tray and passing it back and forth to prevent touching, adhering to the SOPS’ implemented by authorities.
For the time being, there will only be dine-in and takeaway options, with delivery options to come but not yet confirmed. Taco Bell will open another location soon in Tropicana Gardens Mall in PJ, and if all works well, we can expect more outlets to expand across Malaysia!
