If you are pregnant or have been before, then you know what it really takes to carry a heavy belly and getting things done. Doing things while pregnant seems like an extreme chore, from getting up from the chair to pour yourself a glass of water, to simply taking a shower.
Yup, we know it’s hard. But, being pregnant has its perks and benefits too. You can surely get an extra helping hand without justifying, enjoy spa day without hesitation, and binge-eat whatever on earth you like without having extra peepers gawking at you.
Below are some of the most common things every pregnant person has secretly done, and it was all worth it.
1. ‘I’m Not A B***Ch, It’s Just My Hormones!’
Ever heard this line before from a pregnant lady? This happens to be the go-to reply from any expecting ladies who throws a fit right after a hilarious joke. No joke, it’s true. Due to overwhelming hormonal changes, it’s very normal for them to portray contradicting behaviour in a split second. And well, even when it’s not the hormones, pregnant ladies have the veto card to use that anytime, anywhere, to anyone. Winner.
2. Kept Your Hand On Your Belly To Let People Know You Are Not Fat, Just Pregnant
Let me say this out loud and clear people, never, and I mean NEVER call a lady fat, or you’ll never hear the end of that. So when we ladies get pregnant, everything changes and our bodies are the first to see the change. There will come to a point when we start feeling like baby elephants, but that’s ok because there’s a tiny little being inside us and it’s all worth it. So when we’re out and about in public, you want to be seen and known as pregnant and not fat. To state the obvious, you would have either rubbed or kept your hands on your belly. We’ve all done at, especially when commuting in public transport because people need assurance that you in a much needed situation for the seat than them.
3. Peed In Your Pants
This is an interesting one, because as much as you ladies want to deny it, you’ve done it. At least once. There’s nothing to be ashamed because with the extra load pressing on your bladder, you’re bound to release some pee involuntarily. As your belly grows, it gets harder to control your bladder and hence, the countless visits to the washroom.
4. Been So Constipated That You Were Afraid The Baby Might Come Out If You Pushed Any Harder
It’s been 5 days since you took a dump. And you are so constipated now that you are afraid that even a tiny little push is enough to make your baby pop out of your belly. Of course in reality that’s not the case, but your baby might feel a little pressure and nothing else.
5. Refused to pick up things that have dropped
Remember the time when something accidentally slipped from your hands and every force in you is rejecting to pick it up again? Yes, we can’t forget this. Every time something drops, there’s no way you could even think of picking it up with a big protruding belly in your way. Only thing you can do is wait for someone to pick it up, and act like nothing happened.
