This Is The Ultimate 10-Minute Mind-Cleanse Routine For A Greater Wellbeing

There is no denying the power of the subconscious mind. It stores and retrieves data, processes the world, screens through experiences and makes connections throughout your life. Being conscious is only the tiniest portion of what’s happening inside your brain and the rest, well, is in your subconscious.

Your subconscious mind may also be to thank for your eureka moments in the shower, but how can we employ its power for even greater productivity and mental wellbeing? According to psychology PhD student Benjamin P. Hardy, it only takes around 10 minutes a day and it can be done in two steps.

10 minutes before bed

You may not have the answers to the pressing questions you’ve been sitting on for the longest time, but your subconscious might. What you can do is take a few minutes to meditate and write down your questions or thoughts on paper. Be specific, and while you’re asleep, your subconscious mind will figure it out.

10 minutes after waking up

Instead of scrolling through Instagram bright and early in the morning, check in with your subconscious. It’s the best time to gather the ideas your subconscious formulated while you were asleep, so do a brain dump by writing down everything that springs to mind before you start your day.

Admittedly, it may seem strange at first, but it takes practice. Stay committed to it and your brain will be accustomed to becoming fluent at it. It doesn’t take much effort, but it is infinitely rewarding. It will tell you where you want to go, and how to get there. Good luck!
