Looks like Prince Harry is ALL IN! According to new reports, the royal has decided not to sign a prenuptial agreement before his marriage to ex-Suits actress Meghan Markle on May 19th this year.
A source is quoted saying, “There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup. He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything.”
Pre-nups aren’t as common in the U.K. as compared to the U.S., and according to a British lawyer, “At present a prenuptial agreement does not carry the same weight as a Court order and will not ‘automatically’ be upheld or enforced by an English or Welsh court in the event of a divorce and/or disagreement.”
Evidently, Prince Harry has a substantial fortune to his name, including an approximate $14 million inheritance from Princess Diana, and $28 million in other assets. Markle, on the other hand, is said to be worth about $5 million.
Neither Prince Charles nor Prince William signed pre-nups before their marriages, and while Prince Harry will be taking a huge risk, it seems he is 110% sure about Markle, so let’s hope he’s right about her!
