As we all know — the Queen of bridal chic is Vera Wang, and the King of confectionery is Ladurée.
So when those two got together to make the worlds most high-end wedding cake is quite a pleasant surprise which has everyone saying, “It’s about time!” 💕
Featuring a coconut crème Chantilly macaron as well as a mango and coconut wedding cake, the recipes were purely created by Ladurée and co., drawing inspiration from Vera Wang’s iconic bridal designs.
We’ve got a pretty strong vision of what the wedding these belong at looks like, unfortunately, those of us who are based in Malaysia won’t be able to get our hands on the collaboration. Unless of course, you’re planning to host a wedding in the United States.
“Among my most memorable and enchanting experiences in Paris has always been Ladurée, whether it was tea sandwiches, shopping with my mother, or taking my daughters for lunch in St Germain, Ladurée has always been a part of my Parisian experience,” said Vera Wang.
“I was thrilled to be able to collaborate with [Elisabeth Holder, Heir & President of Ladurée US] on designing a bespoke wedding cake inspired by one of my gowns.”
The mini cakes are retailed at $20 (RM79) each, while full sized cakes are $20 per guest (minimum 40 guests).
Meanwhile, the macarons are available while stock lasts and come in four sizes: a box of six ($24/RM95), small cube of 45 ($166/RM657), medium cube of 80 ($275/RM1088), and a large cube of 125 ($425/RM1682).
Vera Wang Pour Ladurée currently only featured in the windows of Ladurée Madison Avenue and SoHo in New York. However, the cakes will be available for special order throughout 2018.
