Singer Rihanna is the queen of risqué and over the top outfits that flaunt her curvaceous physique, whether on stage, a red carpet, or sometimes even on the streets. And you’d think that she feels uber confident about her body and has no issues whatsoever with it.
However, she candidly confessed that that isn’t always the case. She admits to The Cut that her clothing choices are always dictated by her “fluctuating” body type, adding, “one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day – the next week – I need something oversized”
Further explaining that she chooses what to wear based on whether she’s having a “fat week” or “skinny week”, she says that sometimes “I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what’s working for my body that morning. I feel like that’s how everyone should go after fashion, because it’s an individual thing.”
The Barbadian beauty continues to divulge, “I love to play with silhouettes as well, but I think it’s important to make sure that you wear the thing that works for your body the best, and that’s flattering.” Well, thank you Rihanna for making us all feel human. And hey, when RiRi says it’s okay to have a “fat week”, it’s really okay. Don’t beat yourself up over it!
