Famous Malaysian comedian Afdlin Shauki Aksan is officially a Datuk!
In conjunction with Sultan Pahang’s birthday celebration yesterday, the actor was awarded with Pahang’s honorary grandeur in a ceremony which was held at Seri Balairung, Istana Abu Bakar, Pekan, along with 155 other recipients.
Afdlin, 46, received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which carries the Datuk-ship status. He showcased his gratitude in an Instagram post, saying, “Syukur Alhamdulillah! All praise for Allah SWT.”
In another post, Afdlin charmingly thanked his mom by captioning the photo, “This is all thanks to her prayers. Love you Hajjah mummy.”
Meanwhile, infamous for his random posts on social media, cosmetics entrepreneur Aliff Syukri, 30, was awarded with the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) degree which grants him the title of Datuk Seri.
