It is still in theaters and just as we’re about to regain the ability to sleep, we hear that It‘s sequel has officially been given a release date.
We all knew that we’ll be returning to the haunted town of Derry, Maine and Pennywise’s horrifying shape-shifting after news of the film’s sequel being given the green light before the first movie even debuted. But the good news is, you don’t have to worry about Pennywise the Dancing Clown until September 6, 2019.
News about the film’s sequel has been reaching a fever pitch since It‘s release, and the stars already have their sights set on who they’d like to see play their grown-up counterparts. It is both the biggest September opening and the biggest horror film movie of all time, and we hope the sequel matches up to its predecessor.
But one thing’s for sure, IRL clowns will be unhappy by this news after they claimed that Pennywise is making them lose work.
