ICYMI, Fil Xiaobai is a well-known stylist at China’s YOHO!GIRL magazine. Fil’s strong sense of style and her daring take on fashion makes her a perfect match for Monki and an obvious fit for this AW ’17’s style crush campaign.
Fil is well known all over Asia for her strong sense of style which is all about mixing and matching (while keeping it fun). It was her skill to combine the unexpected and her unique take on fashion that caught Monki’s eye. For Fil, fashion is about daring to be yourself and to dress to express rather than to impress.
The style crush collection for AW17 is in line with Fil’s own style. Shot in Paris during Haute Couture Week by photographer Jesse Laitinen, this collection is influenced by street fashion and showcases Monki’s style DNA. Classic pieces created in unexpected materials grace the collection and makes for endless playful mix and match possibilities.
