Colourpop has changed the beauty game ever since it was introduced to us a few years back, and up until today, we’re still perplexed as to how the Los Angeles-based company makes such amazing products and yet is able to keep the prices so low, even for us here in Malaysia. Whatever it is, we ain’t complaining!
Colourpop never fails to surprise us, and is doing so once again with its limited edition Crushed Crystal Collection of priming sprays, setting sprays, liquid highlighters and lip balms that are all infused with actual crystals. Mmhmm, we reckon you might want to start saving up now..
The Crystal Priming Spray ($6) comes in two variants – Rose Quartz, with apple and grapefruit extract to enhance hydration and fight free radicals whilst offering a dewy finish; and Amethyst Crystal, with dragon fruit, pomegranate and orange flower extract to boost the smoothness of the skin and control sebum production.
As for the Crystal Setting Spray ($6) that keeps makeup on all day long, the Aventurine variant is infused with cucumber water, coconut water, lemon extract and honey extract, whereas Aquamarine comprises natural red algae extract, apple extract, and an olive-oil derived moisturiser.
The star of the show, for us, has got to be the Crystal Liquid Highlight ($6) that comes in four shades (Aventurine – gold, Rose Quartz – rose gold, Amethyst – a lavender-pink, and Aquamarine – a blue-violet). Add these to your foundation for an unbeatable luminosity, or just wear it alone on the highest points on your face.
Finally, Colourpop claims that the new Crystal Lip Balm ($5) will be moisturising and will be perfect toppers over other lip products. The lip balm also comes in four shades – Aventurine (an opalescent green), Rose Quartz (an opalescent rose), Amethyst (an opalescent lavender), and Aquamarine (an opalescent blue).
