It has been four years since Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World hit theaters, and looks like Marvel Studios is gearing up to release the latest installment in their upcoming Thorquel, Thor: Ragnarok.
Directed by Taiki Waititi and based on a script by Eric Pearson, Ragnarok will take the character as well as the franchise, in a different direction than previous iterations, beginning with the inclusion of another Avenger.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth looks like he’s more than ready for war in his new Thor: Ragnarok image, revealing a new look at Thor’s drastically shorter hair in Thor: Ragnarok.
His previously long, flowing locks were cut down when he was delivered to the Gamemaster‘s arena for his ultimate showdown with Hulk.
The upcoming film features the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, as well as Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, with Mark Ruffalo appearing as Hulk and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
Unlike the previous Thor film, though, Ragnarok adds a bevy of new characters and cast members, such as Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, and Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, among others.
Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok hits the cinemas on 3rd November 2017, shortly after the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming which lands on 7th July 2017.
