Not you too, Facebook! Similar to Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories is another one of Facebook’s attempts to reach out to Snapchat’s audience. The feature is only launching in Ireland on iOS and Android as of now but will be available to more countries soon.
Users can display photos and videos in a slideshow format, which will last for 24 hours, and these will be on display at the top of the Facebook app in little circles. Needless to say, Facebook did not leave out creative filters for extra spice to your fun.
One of the clear advantages we see by jumping on the Facebook Stories train is that the reach for each user’s content will naturally, and prominently be much higher, compared to Snapchat for instance, assuming the user has built up a sizeable list of Facebook Friends over the years.
There’s no need to go through the hassle of adding each person individually, as you would on Snapchat.
