Beauty And The Beast isn’t called a tale as old as time for nothing. The Disney classic, inspired by a traditional fairytale, has always been one of the most iconic animated films ever, from the mesmerizing talking home appliances to Belle’s feminist, not-just-a-pretty-face character that finally broke free of the same old Disney princess tropes in this reworked version of the live action movie.
British actress, activist and basically every contemporary women’s role model, some might wonder what can’t the Harry Potter starlet do? Born as Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, the A-lister has revealed yet another hidden talent of hers in a newly released Beauty And The Beast teaser video, where she plays the iconic Disney character, Belle.

D*mn, who knew? Girl can really sing! In the 30-second clip, Emma Watson slayed when she croons the animated film’s classical signature sound, Something There in perfect pitch. It’s clearly one of the central songs in the movie, signifying the moment when both Belle and the Beast realize there’s something in their hearts they hadn’t seen before.
Originally performed by Paige O’Hara for the 1991 animated film, it seems like Watson has worked hard to make her proud. The Harry Potter actress previously talked about her singing lessons in a Facebook post. “It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to Be Our Guest and sing Something There,” she wrote last year. “My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma xx.”
