Victoria’s Secret model Jasmine Tookes wears a $3 million bra on the job but pays close to nothing for her glowy complexion.
Which proves that you don’t need expensive beauty products or facials that cost an arm and a leg to get healthy and refreshed skin. To prep for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the model insists on using the age-old trick of face icing.
“It’s great for the pores!” she told E! News. This technique is ideally done in the morning (it’s like that wake-up call you’ll never snooze through), but Jasmine ices her face at night as well to help tighten her skin.
How do you get around to doing this? Exactly how it sounds – rub ice all over your face to reduce puffiness, neutralise redness and get an afterglow similar to walking around on a brisk day. After a facial cleanse, you can either , A, dunk your whole head in an ice bath or ,B, wrap an ice cube in a thin cloth (cheesecloth works too) and as it starts to melt, glide it across your face.
As your face experiences the chilly shock, the rest of the body will attempt to warm up, speeding up blood circulation. And just like when you hit your head and use a cold compress to combat the swelling, the ice constricts pores and tightens your skin, which can minimize pimples and even wrinkles!
“I have friends who put zero lotion on, and I’m like, ‘You’re crazy!'” the model shared. “I use lots of oils – I love the VS acai flavored body oil.”
