Malaysia sure is full of talented, young singers! Penang-born 16-year-old singing sensation, Lee Pei Ling, has been mesmerising audiences with her spectacular voice on Sing! China, the country’s favourite singing reality program.
The reality show began this July and is almost coming to an end now. With the finals arriving soon, the certified star remains humble, even in this interview by Jeryl Lee. “First and foremost, I am very lucky to have joined this competition. I think the final is not going to be easy as I feel unprepared all the time.”
The student from Chung Ling Private High School, Penang currently has more than 55k fans on social media. However, her success did not come overnight.
The talented teen of mixed Chinese-Indian parentage has been joining international singing competitions from a very young age, whereby she managed to score gold medal at Watercube Singing Contest at age 14.
