Six years after the last episode of The Amazing Race Asia Season 4 hit a pulsating stop, the reality TV show is making a comeback, and this time with a twist.
Hosted by Allan Wu, the show’s format will be largely the same, except that The Amazing Race Asia Season 5 will mark the first time a co-host has been cast in the series. Indonesian movie star, Tara Basro joins the reality show to host alongside Allan Wu.
This season, 11 teams of socially savvy, fearless warriors from all over Asia will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, traversing the globe and proving their mettle on a quest to be crowned the all-out champion.
AXN viewers can take their place in the middle of the action and interact with celebrity show hosts and their favourite teams via social media platforms using the hashtag #AXNTARA and @AXNTARA on Twitter.
The Amazing Race Asia premieres on Thursday, 13 October 2016 at 9:00pm first and exclusively on AXN (Astro Ch701) and AXN HD (Astro B.yond Ch721).
