Ellen Degeneres recently posted a photo of her on Usain Bolt’s back on Twitter. While Ellen was merely being her usual funny self, social media users have ambushed her, calling her racist and demanded an apology.
“I am highly aware of the racism that exists in our country. It is the furthest thing from who I am,” Ellen responded. The photo of her riding on Usain’s back is deemed insensitive, mainly because she is white and he is black.
