OPPO Malaysia yesterday unveiled the latest addition to its photography-focused Selfie Expert series – the F1s. Priced at RM1,198, the F1s is power packed with a 16MP front camera that surely steps up the selfie revolution. Along with its undefeated front shooter, the F1s showcases a 13MP rear camera, a lightning-fast fingerprint reader, a large 3075mAh battery, 32GB ROM, and a triple-slot card tray with dual-SIM capability and expandable memory.
Aptly appointed as OPPO F1’s Selfie Ambassador, social media queen and Malaysian sweetheart Nora Danish was present at the launch of F1s to demonstrate the smartphone’s selfie features like beauty selfie, palm shutter and panorama selfie. Nora, who is a trendsetter and icon, will of course be able to captivate her 3.7 million fans with better quality selfies with the F1s from here on out.
The 16MP Beautify camera on the F1s comes with a 1/3.1-inch sensor and large f/2.0 aperture, providing high dynamic range and minimising noise, and an updated Screen Flash function for better selfies in low light conditions. Alternatively, the 13MP rear camera comes equipped with a 1/3-inch back-illuminated sensor and f/2.2 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras on the F1s offer Beautify 4.0 which offers seven levels of beautification and two skin tone modes.
To further enhance photos taken with the F1s, users can activate the camera with a wave of a hand or by saying “Cheese,” and then unleash their creativity with nine built-in filters and watermarks, alongside other plug-ins like an upgraded Expert Mode, Double Exposure, Time Lapse and GIF.
Featuring a lightning-fast 0.22s fingerprint reader which can also be used for calling and launching apps on up to five apps, the F1s has an eye-catching sleek design with a 5.5-inch 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen, with a pre-applied protective screen coating, and two lines that flow through the device’s aluminum alloy back.
The F1s is powered by an octa-core 64-bit processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM, as well as a triple-slot tray that can be used for SIM cards or memory cards, and ColorOS 3.0 with an operating speed of more than 30% compared to ColorOS 2.1 on the F1. Besides that, ColorOS 3.0 automatically cleans up background apps for improved battery efficiency, and helps the F1s coast through 14 hours.

The OPPO F1s retails for RM1,198 and it comes in Gold or Rose Gold. It will be available for pre-order beginning 10 August until 19 August 2016, and at all OPPO dealers and distributors in Malaysia from 20 August 2016.
