It’s probably obvious, but we can tell that many are still oblivious..
The M’sian Transport Ministry has cautioned motorists to stay focused while on the road, and not to be distracted by hunting for virtual monsters on Pokemon Go, the augmented reality game which was released in Malaysia on Saturday.
Being absorbed with the game while driving is dangerous, and could result in tragic road accidents. This isn’t just about your own safety, but also being responsible for the safety of other road users.
Just a reminder: It is also against the law to use a mobile phone while driving, regardless of using it to text, call or play Pokemon Go.
With that said, the first traffic summon had been issued for a Pokemon Go related offence as a 30-year-old man in Kuantan was pulled over by a police while he and his friends were driving around hunting Pokemon. He was fined RM300.
