Prince’s Cause of Death Revealed To Be ‘Opioid Overdose’

The real reason behind singer Prince’s death has been revealed to be a case of opioid overdose, according to medical officers.

Medical examiner A Quinn Strobl released the office’s assessment of Prince’s cause of death: “self-administered fentanyl”, a powerful opioid. Opioid is a medication that relieves pain, and it is said to be 50 times more powerful than morphine.

In a press release, the Carver County sheriff’s office also said that it will “continues its investigation”.

Prince died on April 21 at his home in Minneapolis. He was only 57 years old.
