Nike recently unveiled its brand new addition to the Free footwear family after over a decade of Nike Free innovation. Whether users are running or training, each of the Nike Free shoes have been design to allow for a natural motion and develop strength.
Taking into consideration that the foot expands and contracts upon impact with and liftoff from the ground, the auxetic and splaying midsole allow runners to move more freely than ever. Another rave-worthy feature about the brand new design is that its meant to absorb shocks that occurs when running.
Moreover, the multi-directional outsole flexibility closely mimics this changing shape, whether an athlete is moving linearly in running or multi-directionally in training. The resulting flexibility puts the foot, rather than the shoe, in control. Or, as explained by three-time gold medal sprinter Allyson Felix, “Using Nike Free footwear in my training is all about strengthening my feet. I really like having that natural movement in my shoes. Everyone’s feet are different, so it’s great to have a shoe that really moves with you.”
