Popular Malaysian actor Tony Eusoff has been jailed for 8 months beginning April 21 for possessing a packet of cannabis mixture at the Tuas checkpoint in March this year.
The actor, whose real name is Anthony Joseph Hermas Rajiman, pleaded guilty to possession of a packet of no less than 4.56g of the drug. The 39-year-old entered Singapore on a social visit pass for a filming project and brought the drug mixture for his own use.
Before his coach arrived at the Tuas checkpoint, he removed the packet of weed from his luggage and put it behind the last row of seats on the upper deck. He intended to retrieve it after clearing immigration, but the weed was discovered by an ICA officer.
A Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officer interviewed the passengers and finally after being taken in for investigations, Eusoff admitted to owning the recovered packet of weed.

The maximum penalty for possession in Singapore is 10 years’ jail and a $20,000 fine.
