Durian is known to the world as the smelliest fruit ever to exist but in Southeast Asia, this ratchet-smelling fruit is known as the king of all fruits. Despite its foul scent, many Asians, especially Malaysians love durian. We mean, it’s so smelly that in Singapore, they have totally banned durian in certain public places, including the MRT and hotels. This didn’t stop Jessica Chastain from smuggling some back to her hotel room though!
On her recent press tour in Asia for the new film The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Chastain discovered this smelly yet delicious fruit and instantly fell in love. In fact, she even took to Instagram to show just how much she loved it, calling it her favourite fruit. If that doesn’t make you love her then we don’t know what will.
Chastain also decided to share her love for the fruit with fellow talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. She brought some gloves, a big knife and the king of fruits on to the show and made him taste the goodness of durian.
