Our national gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi has done us proud again.
Not only did she win a medal at the World Challenge Cup in Ljubljana, Slovenia yesterday, she was also the first Malaysian to do so. This win also boosts her chances of being considered for the second stage of Olympic qualifications which will be held later this month.
Farah Ann raked in a total score of 13.100 in the uneven bars discipline, as Slovenian duo Ivana Kamnikar and Teja Belak bagged the gold and bronze on 13.150 and 12.900 respectively. The medal is also timely boost as she dreams to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
Of the 40 gymnasts invited for the qualifier, Farah will need to make the cut of 24 finishers to make her dream come true. We’re on your team, Farah, you can do this!
