Today, the spotlight shall be on mega talented baker from the States, Darren Wong that created the ‘Raindrop Cake’, a sweet dessert that will just melt away in your mouth.
The cake is made using mineral water and agar and resembles a giant raindrop. Tastes like it too apparently!
Wong said on his website that the cake was inspired by a traditional dessert from Japan called the Mizu Shingen Mochi.
Mizu Shingen Mochi was a new version of the traditional Japanese rice-cake dessert Shingen Mochi that is sprinkled with soy bean powder and served with brown sugar syrup.
The Raindrop Cake is available only in Smorgasburg, US! #sad
