Whether you’re travelling for business or leisure, staying connected at all times is crucial. Having said that, travellers often have to undergo the frustrations of getting ripped off at airports while struggling with language barrier, hunting down free Wi-Fi hotspots, or dealing with data roaming bill shocks.
For those reasons, Malaysian startup Hello Roaming aims to redefine the way every traveller remains connected during their travels by delivering travel destination SIM Cards to them days before they get on that plane for the trip. It’s free of hassle and extremely convenient, giving travellers one less thing to worry about when they land.
Hello Roaming beta currently offers prepaid SIM Cards for five destinations including Australia, Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Indonesia. Within the next six months, Hello Roaming plans to add 12 more countries to that list.
All you have to do is access www.helloroaming.com, pick a travel destination, specify the duration of your travel, the SIM Card size you prefer and make a quick search. From there, Hello Roaming will recommend various SIM Card options with different data sizes from different telco providers. Once you’ve decided, Hello Roaming will take care of the registration and ship out the SIM Card to you within 1 to 3 business days.
Hello Roaming beta is currently available for outbound travellers from Malaysia, and it is brought to you by VLT Labs and U-projects.
