The 8th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) will return to Precinct 2 yet again from March 11th to March 13th and the exciting event will feature another fantastic lineup of international balloonists, alongside an array of attractions and activities.
One of the main highlights in Perbadanan Putrajaya’s Calendar of Events, the 8th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will be graced by five special shaped balloons including Bobo, the Happy Lobster, all the way from Belgium which will be flown by Geert Van Wolvelaer, the yellow jacket Bee Balloon from Brazil, flown by Francisco Naccarato, Mister Z the Zebra piloted by Jonathan Wright from U.S.A. and the main highlight, the Alien Rocket balloon flown by Alain Bard from Canada.
Other international balloons are from France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia and Poland. On top of that, the 8th Fiesta is the Launching Field Access & Night Glow Access, where the visitor capacity has been doubled so visitors can get closer to the balloons. In the Pink Zone, visitors can also enjoy a yoga and zumba session while the balloons are flying over them.
MyBalloonClub is now moved to a more prominent spot at the Blue Zone; giving members the best view and offering all access to the Fiesta ground. Premium Tethered Balloon Rides are exclusively available for purchase with this membership only. Additionally, the Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia will showcase a taste of Indonesia at the Indonesian Cultural Village, allowing visitors to experience Indonesian cuisine, entertainment and activities.
