Alessandra was only 12 years old when she enrolled in modeling class and by the age of 14 she became one of 20 finalists for an elite modeling competition in Brazil. Since then, she has gone on to model for big brands such as Revlon, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren.
In 2000, Alessandra Ambrosio strutted her stuff in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time. For the audience, it was love at first sight. And the world was taken by her au naturale supermodel flair. By 2004, she was selected as the first spokesmodel for the Victoria’s Secret “PINK” line and signed an exclusive “Angel” contract with the brand.
She’s among one of the world’s top-earning models and is often cited as one of the world’s sexiest woman. Well, we can’t disagree. It has been 11 years since Alessandra first started out as a Victoria’s Secret model and today, she’s the “centerpiece” amongst all superhot supermodels.
But in 2008, Alessandra welcomed the centerpiece of her world when her daughter, Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazu was born.
Let’s take a look now at what one of Victoria’s Secret‘s most gorgeous “Angels” have to say about motherhood and how it has changed her.
“The thing about motherhood is, it changes the way you look at the world and at yourself. I don’t think about me that much anymore, I tend to put Anja before me and before anything else. I’m always looking for her – if I’m in a store, I’m looking at clothes for her. I’m always finding things for her more than I’m finding things for myself.”
“I’m working pretty much every day but I still want to have time to be with my daughter. At work, I always pause to think about Anja and think about what she’s doing. I’m lucky to have a family that helps me take care of my daughter when I’m working. But really, I just want to be with her all the time. And I am, when I’m not working.”
“My daughter, she’s the cutest thing in the world, she melts my heart.”
“Watching my daughter grow up is beautiful. Every day, she does something different. I find it amazing. And Brazilians, no matter what they go through in life, they’re really happy. I want Anja to have that. I want her life to feel like that.”
Three months after the birth of her daughter, Alessandra Ambrosio walked the 2008 edition of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show looking like a million dollars. She didn’t look an inch of a new mom and she continued to take our breaths away.
But we know for a fact that while she’s the centerpiece of the show, her Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazu is the one true centerpiece of her life.
