Johnnie Walker has just rolled out its biggest campaign in history – Joy Will Take You Further. Malaysia’s street artist extraordinaire, Kenji Chai and thrill-seeking photographer, Keow Wee Loong will be the first to team up with Johnnie Walker to shed light on this new philosophy via a series of inspiring stories about joy.
Joy Will Take You Further is an evolution of Johnnie Walker’s Keep Walking campaign, which advocates the need to add joy in the pursuit for personal progress. Joy, which can be a catalyst to the progress they seek, is inevitably a part of the recipe for success. Throughout this campaign, Johnnie Walker will curate stories from people who have truly experienced joy.
Driven by passion, Kenji and Wee Loong shared their personal stories on their journey to achieving their ultimate goals. Kenji, who’s born and raised in Sandakan, Sabah, advocates for animal adoption and care by depicting this through murals, whereas Wee Loong, a law graduate turned photographer takes routes less travelled to capture breathtaking images.
The two will collaborate with Johnnie Walker to further intensify the campaign’s core values through multi-platform channels. This campaign is now activated in more than 50 countries, and also features stars like Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, actor Jude Law, Chinese actor Zhao Wei, US rock band OK Go and Mexican supermodel Montserrat Oliver alongside some extraordinary achievers who share the brand’s view of how happiness is a fuel for success.
In conjunction with the launch of Joy Will Take You Further, Johnnie Walker also unveiled its Highball offering in partnership with SodaXpress, Malaysia’s top sparkling water maker. Available in selected Malaysian bars and bistros, the Highball pairs the rich and well-balanced flavour of Johnnie Walker Black Label with fizzy sparkling water. It also comes with the choice of apple, peach or mint syrup to be added for a sweeter palate.
