Just recently, we were invited to an experiential session by Samsung to test out its latest wearable – the Gear S2 smartwatch. After being introduced to some of its notable features, we were put through an intense workout session at Jatomi Fitness, The Weld, with the Gear S2 strapped onto our wrist to experience its nifty S Health function. It really is an excellent device that combines wellness, work and play.
More than 100 media members, celebrity friends and fitness enthusiasts got together for a series of exhilarating fitness challenges at Jatomi Fitness, The Weld. Co-hosted by Serena C and Mark O’Dea, the exciting session demonstrated the intuitive health and fitness tracking functionality of the Gear S2. With the fast-growing fitness trend, the Gear S2 really makes health and fitness more achievable by helping wearers achieve their goals, whether in or out of the gym.
Featuring a unisex circular face that isn’t too chunky and is comfortably lightweight, the Gear S2 complements any OOTD with its clean, polished and premium-feel design. Fused with the watch face is a rotating bezel that functions seamlessly as you track your current fitness status, set daily targets, dial up an app, adjust the brightness or volume, and access your notifications.
Besides it fitness tracking capabilities, the Gear S2 allows wearers to stay connected at all times with social updates, get instant work notifications, and optimise their mobile life in many ways. Additionally, wears will also be able to customise their watch face by choosing from 13 different designs, so that they can experiment with different styles, and customise their gear depending on their personalities and look of the day.
Samsung’s Gear S2 comes in two variants – Sport and Classic – to cater to different preferences. The Gear S2 Classic comes with a genuine leather band and is made for those who’re looking for classy and timeless wrist wear. On the other hand, the Gear S2 Sport, which has a minimal and modern design, is ideal for those who are constantly working out or on-the-go.
The Samsung Gear S2 Sport retails for RM1,399 whereas the Gear S2 Classic is priced at RM1,599. The Gear S2 Sport is offered in Dark Gray and Silver, while the Gear S2 Classic is offered in Black. There are also additional changeable straps available for purchase. For more Samsung Gear S2 specifications, visit Samsung’s official website.
