To celebrate its iconic Scotland-made cashmere scarves, Burberry adds a Scarf Bar in stores and online to offer a complete line of silky, feather-light classic and lightweight scarves made from fine cashmere. Assisted by Burberry’s retail teams, customers can personalise their cashmere scarf design of choice with a monogram to create their unique Burberryicon.
With a variety of over 30 colours in classic and lightweight cashmere, customers can choose everything from the scarf colour and print, including the iconic heritage shades, to the thread colour that’s part of the personalised monogramming service. For the monogram, they can choose from two font sizes and up to three letters in over 30 shades of thread.
Carefully woven on a traditional loom in Scotland at two distinguished mills in Elgin and Ayr, the scarves are available in a wide variety of colours, checks and seasonal prints. A few of the solid colour scarves are also available in runway-inspired animal, camouflage, dot and heart prints.
After being woven, the scarves are washed in fresh water and finished by craftspeople using methods passed down through generations. For a super-soft feel, the classic cashmere scarf is brushed with natural teasels to produce a surface pile that creates a luxurious ripple finish. On the contrary, the lightweight scarf is pressed and lightly steamed for a soft hand-feel finish.
Burberry’s cashmere scarves are available for men, women and children. When ordered online, there will be a live chat providing a personalised service and styling advice.
Burberry’s Scarf Bar is available in stores globally, and online on Burberry.com. All the scarves will be made and personalised in the UK before being delivered anywhere in the world.
