The Tiger Bites campaign ended with a bang when a scrumptious spread of popular Malaysian hawker food was served at an al fresco dining food festival at the rooftop of Avenue K. For one night only, the rooftop resembled the street food markets in Kuala Lumpur and all the guests enjoyed a fun, casual dining experience.
Aside from Tiger beer and Tiger Radler, there were specially created Tiger Beer cocktails – Roaring Passion and Bite Me, Cherry – available for guests as they indulged in the wide array of yummy food, while taking in the panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur’s city skyline.
As for food, guests got to choose from hokkien mee, char kuay teow, yam cake, lobak, curry mee, siu lap rice, popiah, and many more. To keep the guests entertained, there were also exciting activities like ‘Go Nuts for Nuts’ and ‘Get Your Balls Straight’, while a cosy ‘Chill lah’ section was made available for the convenience of foodies to kick back and relax.
Back in August, Tiger Bites challenged foodies to a gastronomical hunt around Malaysia to uncage hidden street flavours. Food lovers traversed the country in search for rare but yummy hawker delights, pinning their discoveries on Tiger Beer’s microsite for others to explore.
Prizes like 18 sets of GoPros, phone lenses and selfie tripods were rewarded to participants of this 11 week long contest. The participant who put together the best street food trail was also identified and awarded with an all-expenses paid trip for two to Taiwan where more great meals await.
