To further reach out to the premium Malaysian market, Huawei Technologies Malaysia launches its latest flagship device, the Huawei Mate S. With its cutting-edge specifications, classy design and luxurious simplicity, Huawei Mate S redefines an interactive experience and marks the brand’s growing commitment to propel its presence and performance in the Malaysian consumer market.
Featuring a slim full metal body finish and curved edges, Huawei Mate S is engineered for superior efficiency. Equipped with Fingerprint Sense 2.0, users will be able to do so much more with the touch technology that is commonly used for unlocking the device. The self-learning function recognises fingerprint forms and this can be tweaked to be used for various functions, including responding to calls, tailored control notifications and capturing selfies, all with a touch of a fingerprint.
On top of that, the smart fingerprint technology makes unlocking the smartphone even quicker. Improving fingerprint recognition speeds by 100%, you can use the technology to scroll through pictures, slide to collapse or display the notification bar, double-tap to erase unread notifications and more. With a longer touch, phone calls can be answered or switched to a hands free mode, as well as turning off the alarm clock.
If using your fingers isn’t enough, Huawei also introduced the Knuckle Sense 2.0 technology that enables smooth transition between applications using customised knuckle shortcuts that are customisable. With the knuckles, screenshots can be captured, video clips can be recorded via a screenshot and applications can be opened by using a knuckle to slide letters defined by the user.
What we love most about the Huawei Mate S is its camera functions. The device is equipped with an 8 MP front camera with a soft, front light for better selfies at night, as well as a beautifying feature that the urban generation will enjoy. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone for ease of capturing selfies, and on top of that, the Huawei Mate S comes with high specification professional camera capabilities for users to take pro-quality photos by adjusting the ISO, exposure, focus modes, filters and more.
Huawei really stepped up its game in terms of customer service and reliability. This device comes with Huawei’s 2 year premium warranty, 1-1 exchange during the first year of warranty period, complimentary door-to-door repair pick-up and after service delivery, one year LCD crack warranty and priority service at any Huawei authorised service centres. The first 3,000 Mate S buyers in Malaysia will also receive a Mate S Bespoke Royal Selangor VIP Pewter Card.
The exclusive launch event at RUYI & LYN, Bangsar Shopping Centre, also featured the Huawei G8 and MediaPad M2. The G8 boasts a full metal body with ceramic sand blasting, a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 2.5-D curved edges for life-like images, a longer battery life that is capable for full day usage, a 28mm wide-angle lens with RGBW sensors, and the Fingerprint 2.0 technology.
On the contrary, the Huawei MediaPad M2 8.0 is designed with a best-in-class audio supported by Harman Kardon and dual stereo speakers as well as a PA power amplifier for clear tones and amplified volume. Additionally, the Super Wide Sound 2.0 projects 180-surround sound for users to enjoy music and entertainment with much more sharpness, paired with Huawei’s ClariVu® technology and 8-inch FHD IPS touchscreen for amazing visuals.
