One of Scotland’s finest single malts, Mortlach, has finally arrived on Malaysian shores and at the official grand launch recently, exclusive guests got to first experience this memorable and tantalising single malt scotch whisky. The first distillery to exist at Dufftown, Scotland, in 1823, Mortlach produces premium malt with remarkable flavour, earning recognition as ‘The Beast of Dufftown’ from whisky connoisseurs.
For the official grand launch, the Global Brand Ambassador for Mortlach and whisky expert, Ms. Georgie Bell, enlightened the guests with the history and success story behind Mortlach, explaining its strong heritage and vision that drives the brand, as well as its distinct uniqueness when compared with other whiskies.
Available in Malaysia are the Rare Old, 18-Year-Old and 25-Year-Old single malts. The Rare Old Mortlach carries the brand’s signature balance of sweetness and dryness, infused with fruity and floral notes, whereas the 18-Year-Old is characterised by a fine interplay of meaty notes, malty sweetness and a balanced acidity. Meanwhile, the 25-Year-Old boasts a multi-faceted combination of roasted spices and a firm intensity with decadent layers of sweetness.
