The highly anticipated Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe at Sunway Pyramid opened its doors to the public on the 26th of September 2015. However, the cafe’s grand launch was held this week and we finally visited the cafe for ourselves to see what the hype is about.
The much-loved global icon, Hello Kitty, made an appearance at the launch as she showed off her refined palate as a food connoisseur at the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe. With a cute Parisian-style vibe throughout its vicinity, reaches out to more refined and mature fans between the ages of 18 and 35.
On its menu, the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe features a wide variety of European cuisine and also an all-day breakfast made to order, as well as a live salad bar where the dishes are handcrafted by the chef in full view. It also wouldn’t be a Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe if it didn’t serve delectable desserts that are totally Instagram-worthy.
As you would expect, all the food, including the desserts, served at the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe are Hello Kitty inspired, and when we sampled some of the foodstuff on the menu, we were surprised to find Hello Kitty shaped aubergine, Hello Kitty potato hashes, colourful macarons with the signature Hello Kitty print, and more.
Besides food and drinks, the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe will also house exclusive Hello Kitty merchandise that’s only available at the Sunway Pyramid outlet. If you’re a Hello Kitty fan, the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe is surely a must-visit as every corner of the cafe presents a golden photo opportunity you’d love.
The Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe is located at the Oasis Boulevard, Ground Floor of Sunway Pyramid (outside H&M and Caffe Bene). It is open from 10am to 11pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and 10am to 12am on Fridays to Saturdays.
