Yeay for FREE LRT rides!
Rapid KL is offering free LRT rides for one month for commutes within four new Ampang line stations, including Awan Besar, Muhibbah, Alam Sutera and Kinrara BK5. Single journey tokens will be offered for free at the Customer Service Office at the Sri Petaling LRT station and the four new stations. If you’re using the MyRapid Card or Touch ‘n Go, you can also ride for free.
The four stations will feature new six-car trains, which operates on a new signalling system and soon, the entire Ampang line will be running on the same system. The new trains will stop at the Sri Petaling station and passengers will have to disembark to proceed with their journey on the current line, which goes from Sri Petaling to Sentul Timur.
On top of that, Rapid KL is providing feeder bus rides at normal rates that will go along these routes: Route U73 – Station LRT Awan Besar – OUG – Pasar Seni, Route T418 – Station LRT Awan Besar – Station LRT Bukit Jalil – Bandar Sri Petaling, Route U504 – Station LRT Muhibbah – LRT Awan Besar – Pasar Seni, Route T419 – Station LRT Alam Sutera – PPR Pinggiran Bukit Jalil, Route T507 – Station LRT Kinrara BK5 – Flet Enggang – IOI Mall.
The newly extended LRT Kelana Jaya line is scheduled to open in June 2016 and will have 11 stations.
