If you take MyTeksi often, you’d be glad to know that the brand has just launched number masking to enhance the safety of both its drivers and passengers in Malaysia. Committed to improve driver and passenger safety, the number masking by MyTeksi will allow for completely anonymous calls between drivers and passengers to ensure the privacy of both parties.

When a booking is made via the MyTeksi app, both the drivers and passengers will have the option to call via the app. By tapping on the ‘call’ icon, they will be connected automatically via a virtual number and their personal numbers will no longer be displayed. If you prefer not to call, you can also leave pick-up instructions to the drivers via the ‘Notes to Driver’ feature.

MyTeksi is convenient for travellers in Southeast Asia, and can be used to book transport across Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Even if you use a foreign mobile number, the virtual number will be connected as a local call, so there will be no exorbitant call charges.

The number masking feature is being rolled out to users in Singapore and Malaysia from 6 October, and will be available to all MyTeksi app users in these markets by end-October 2015. To get access to number masking, users can download or update to the latest version of the MyTeksi app from Google Play or the App Store.
