In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, GrabCar, which is powered by MyTeksi, teamed up with Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) to beat breast cancer. #GrabItBeatIt is a campaign aimed to educate women on breast cancer prevention with regular self-examination and early detection.
Love boobs? So does cancer
GrabCar is selling limited edition t-shirts designed by homegrown fashion brand Pestle and Mortar this month to raise funds to support BCWA’s activities to reach out to women in Malaysia and provide free breast examinations.
With the cheeky tagline ‘Love boobs? So does cancer’, each t-shirt is priced at RM30 and all proceeds from the sale will be donated to BCWA. From 5 to 11 October 2015, you can purchase #GrabitBeatit t-shirts via the MyTeksi app and GrabCar will deliver the t-shirts to you for free. Each t-shirt comes in a special Pink Kit, comprising a #GrabitBeatit instruction card for self-examination and badges.
Other #GrabitBeatit activities include:
- GrabCar is providing discounts of up to RM5 on rides to 15 breast cancer screening clinics from 12 to 31 October, with the promo code ‘GRABITBEATIT’ when booking a GrabCar.
- Get a free breast examination on 14 October. Live updates on the truck locations will be posted on GrabTaxi’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
- From 12 to 31 October, take a photo in your #GrabitBeatit t-shirts to show your support for the cause, and encourage your friends and families to do preventive self-examinations. The six most creative photos will win shopping vouchers.
- Tips on how to conduct self-examination of breasts will be shared throughout the month on GrabTaxi’s Facebook Page.
Purchase the Pink Kit via the MyTeksi app. The t-shirts are also available for purchase on Zalora’s website and in Pestle and Mortar’s stores from 12 to 31 October. Download the MyTeksi app here.
