WARNING: THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE BRIDGE
Hanging at 590 feet in the air, the new glass walkway named Haohan Qiao or also known as Brave Man’s Bridge (more like Crazy Man’s Bridge!) recently opened to the public in China’s central Hunan Province. To put it lightly, this bridge looks absolutely frightening. Not just “weak-in-the-knees” frightening but “I-may-have-soiled-myself” frightening.
The terrifying bridge, which is roughly 1,000 feet long (that’s the size of 3 football fields) and located in Shiniuzhai National Geological Park boasts a floor made from glass and is double-layered. The glass has been said to be 25 times stronger than normal. Initially, the plan was to lay the bridge with wood but they experimented with glass in 2014 and ended up sticking to the idea, according to CNN. It’s also supported by a frame made of steel.
It’s currently the longest glass-bottom suspension bridge in the world. Imagine the kind of pictures you could get up there.
I still wouldn’t get on that bridge, though. What about you guys?
