One sunny afternoon, on one of those “don’t know what to eat” days, we decided to make a quick stopover at Gardens Mall, Mid Valley to “sightsee”. “Sightsee” would be the most harmless way to put it – we weren’t going to shop; we were just going to check out what’s good.
Only to be greeted by a loud “mooooooo” by a giant cow somewhere on the third floor (near all the other eateries). Startled, we decided to investigate!
You know that Taiwanese dessert fad (taro balls and such)? And then that bubble tea fad (Gong Cha, Chatime)? Well, here’s another fad that you might’ve come across in the recent months – froyo. Froyo is basically frozen yogurt that’s just as good as ice-cream minus the guilt. Because it’s made from milk instead of cream, it contains a lower fat content than your regular Magnum.
And “Moo Cow Frozen Yogurt” is the latest purveyor of the delicious low-fat dessert! Almost immediately, we got in line and went for the original tart-flavoured froyo with a topping of digestive biscuit crumbs. Extremely creamy for something that’s “fake ice-cream”!
They usually have three froyo flavours on their menu, original and seasonal flavours. And for RM9.90, you get a nice, large swirl of frozen yogurt of your choice with a free topping. The seasonal flavours, on the other hand, are just a little bit more expensive at RM10.90 without a free topping. Which is actually okay because you might want to savour the yummylicious seasonal flavours as it is!
Also, while we were in line, we were introduced to the reward system by the lovely froyo people. For every RM10 that you spend “moo”-ing, you’ll earn a stamp on the reward card and once it’s filled up, you can redeem a free gift!
Oh so cute (and delicious too, may we add)!
But don’t take our word for it. Go get your froyo on at “Moo Cow Frozen Yogurt”. You can thank us later. They’re located at:
