Feeling bummed out because you’re at home while a lot of your friends are in the festive mood at their respective ‘kampungs’? Or you’re just overwhelmed because the long weekend is here and you don’t know what to do with the extra time in your hands?

Fret not, dear readers! We’ve come up with a pretty ingenious list on what you can do during these Raya holidays. Just scroll below and share with us your experiences doing any of these things!

1. Plan a picnic

Call up other friends who are also staying put in town and plan a picnic by the water. Have a relaxing day out while catching up and munching on snacks.

Here are the best picnic spots in Klang Valley that you can choose from.

4. Spontaneous roadtrip

5. Plan a proper beach getaway

You’ve got a four-day weekend and enough money in your bank account for a trip, so what can you do with these two combined? Use this time off to plan a proper beach getaway! Sit down and look through islands that you’d like to visit, check out flight fares online, and find the best deals on accommodation. Your tired bones deserve a relaxing getaway, so use this Raya break wisely by purchasing a seaside holiday for yourself.

6. Nom-nom your way through the long weekend

Looking for a new place to hang out with your friends? Or you’re just bored of your old coffee joint and you want a change of scenery? Use this long weekend to check out new cafes or eateries. While some are stuffing themselves at their relatives’ Raya open houses, you can fill up your tummy trying out new food choices!

8. Throw a small house party

If going for a picnic is not your thing, then throw a small house party for your friends who didn’t ‘balik kampung’. You can either get everyone to contribute to food and drinks (potluck style), or get them delivered to your doorstep. Minimal decoration for this party should suffice, too.
