A good friend is one we cherish for the rest of our lives to share experiences, have fun with, and to help support us in the challenges in life together. Honesty. Everybody wants a ‘true friend’, and a true friend is one who’ll tell the truth, even if it hurts.
Trustworthy. We all have our own secrets, or facts about ourselves that we’re not proud of. And when confidential information are shared, a friend would be trustworthy enough to keep this between the both of you.
Caring. A real friend would go their way just to make sure you’re okay, especially when you’re in need of help, and need support to achieve certain things.
Patience. Patience is a great quality to look for in a friend. For starters, people can come to quick conclusions without even giving you a chance. If they’re quick to assume things, it could be detrimental to your friendship.
Encouragement. Whenever you’re feeling down or need a boost in life, a good friend will do her best to make to feel better, especially through difficult times.
Loyalty. Being a loyal friend may take years, but that’s because it’s really not an easy thing. Seek loyalty in a friend, because it’ll certainly keep drama away.
Forgiving. We make mistakes in just about every thing we do in life, so look for a friend who is intelligent enough to understand that we make mistakes unintentionally.
Respectable. We all want a friend that we’re proud of and not embarrassed to introduce to others. Look for someone who is mature, sensible and of great personality.
Humourous. Laughter is the best medicine after all, and being humorous or looking at the lighter side of life will always take the pressure off most situations.
Reliable. A great friend is someone you can trust, and someone who will go out their way to make sure you’re alright. They don’t share your secrets, and they’ll always be your guiding light through times of need.
