Beginning September 9, Plus Malaysia Bhd will start implementing a full electronic toll collection system in five Malaysian toll plazas. Highway users will have to use PLUSMiles cards, Touch n’ Go cards or SmartTAG to make toll payments.
The affected toll plazas are the Penang Bridge Toll Plaza, Jitra and Bukit Kayu Hitam Toll Plazas (on the North-South Expressway) and Lunas and Kubang Semang Toll Plazas (on the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway).
Starting now until December 31 2015, highway users can also purchase preloaded RM5 PLUSMiles Touch n’ Go cards at a promo price of RM5 (card is FREE) at these toll plazas.
On top of that, Class 1 motorists are eligible for a 20% toll rebate if the toll fare payment is made via PLUSMiles card, Touch ‘n Go card and SmartTAG at these toll plazas from Sept 1 to Dec 31.
However, Penang Bridge users who already enjoy the existing 20% toll discount will not be eligible for an additional 20% toll rebate.
