You can do your makeup in the bathroom, but you should NEVER store it there, especially when it comes to your makeup brushes.
Dermatologist Kavita Mariwalla says that you’re exposing the brushes to really gross bacteria by keeping them out in the open air, and applying that onto your skin. “When you flush, bacteria can get aerosolised,” she mentions. THE HORROR!
Dr. Mariwalla suggests storing those brushes in a sealed bag or box, tucked away in a drawer or cabinet. Of course, this doesn’t mean you don’t have to clean them regularly.
