I am one of those women who needs everything to be done quick and efficient in the mornings. I barely even have time for coffee! Having said that, I rarely compromise on my makeup routine as I want to look the best each day for the office or for when I’m out networking. My makeup routine has to be kept simple, doable in under 10 minutes, and it has to last all day.
Here are some of my very faithful beauty products that haven’t failed me, and continue to inspire my daily confidence:
1. MAC Matchmaster SPF15 Foundation in 7.0
This liquid foundation is all I need for an impeccable complexion every morning. I just dab it on with my fingers on the spotty, uneven areas, and the coverage is perfect. It blends seamlessly and gives a demi-matte finish, so it looks more natural and not thick or cakey. I finish it off by lightly dusting on MAC’s Iridescent Loose Powder around the cheeks, forehead, and neck area.
2. Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colour Night
This is an eye shadow pencil that also doubles as eyeliner. It works perfectly well along the lower lash line, and glides smoothly across my eyelids, giving me dreamy and smoky eyes. It is long-lasting, and the tip is soft enough to work with swiftly. The packaging comes with a sharpener, and fits nicely in my handbag.
3. Maybelline Volume Express Rocket Mascara
While most people go for a waterproof mascara, I prefer one that is not. I also need a mascara that is clump-free, because I wear contact lenses and I’m quite paranoid about my eyes being sensitive. This mascara is heaven sent. It’s almost effortless to achieve long, dark lashes, and it really is clump free, just like it promises to be. It also washes off easily in the shower.
4. Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Colour
I never leave the house without this! This liquid matte lipstick in 16 – Fuchsia gives my lips the boost it needs, and it can be spotted from a mile away. It is also double-ended – one side contains the lip colour and the other side is a clear top coat to give your lips a glossy finish if that’s what you’re after. It also lasts through meals.
