While most makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts are using expensive brushes or electronic tools to apply their base, beauty guru Mayra of the YouTube channel MayraTouchOfGlam utilises a rather surprising clothing item – a sock. A new, fresh one, of course.
“This may be the next Beautyblender,” she says in her video. Intrigued by the soft, cushiony material on the ankle part of the sock, she decided to try applying her CC cream with the heel of the sock and the result? Streak-free and flawless!
She even used the sock to apply liquid bronzer and loose setting powder too. It’s surely strange, but hey, it may just work wonders and Beautyblenders are expensive just FYI. Imagine all the money you’ll save!
Just make sure you wash your foundation sock regularly to avoid bacteria. Come to think of it, we’d toss the sock in the trash after a month of use anyway considering how affordable they are..
